Philippine Public Safety College joins Opening program of DARE and DAPE in Bacolod City The Philippine Public Safety College headed by its President PDDG RICARDO F DE LEON, PhD (Ret) joins the opening program of 10-Day Drug Abuse Prevention and Education (DAPE) and Drug Abuse Resistance and Education Training in Bacolod City yesterday, August 27. "I encouraged men and women in uniform to act as frontliners in fighting all forms of criminality especially the war on drugs", PDDG DE LEON said. PPSC President commits support with Philippine National Police's advocacy on trainings and welfare of personnel as well as to the community, he added. The primary goal of D.A.R.E. and D.A.P.E is to prevent substance abuse among school age children. The D.A.R.E. program targets children at an age when they are most receptive to drug prevention education and before they are likely to have experimented with tobacco, alcohol and drugs. The said opening highlighted with the significance of the said program which will benefit not only the community but also the men and women in uniform that will serve as facilitators and mentors. PDir CEDRICK TRAIN, Director for Human Resource and Doctrine Development was the invited Guest of Honor and Speaker while PDIR EDUARDO SERAPIO M GARADO, Director for Police Community Relations served as the focal person of said activity. Also present were LGU of Bacolod City, DILG, DepEd, PDEA and some pastors of the city. On the said training, participants comprised of Regions 6, 7, 8 and 12.
