Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran joins in full support of the program launched by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) yesterday dubbed as "Mamamayang Ayaw Sa Anomalya, Mamamayang Ayaw sa Ilegal na Droga" or MASA MASID.
It is a community-based program that aims to encourage the citizens to take a proactive stance in President Rodrigo Duterte's Government fight against corruption, illegal drugs and criminality. Familiaran also signed in the Pledge of Commitment to manifest his commitment of support to the program. Thus, he also urged the people of Bacolod as one community to support the program and be vigilant with their surroundings. In his message, Famiiaran said that any government program will never be triumphant without people's support. He added "All of us here are together in aspiring that the day shall come for this city and this nation to be free from illegal drugs, corruption and criminality." Leading the launching program were DILG Assistant Secretary for Brgy. Affairs & Community Dev't Roosque Calacat as the Resource Speaker; Engr. Carmelo Orbista OIC-DILG-Bacolod; Chief Dir. Dr. Ma. Nove Mejica - OIC-Local Government Monitoring & Evaluation Division (OIC-LGMED) and Atty. Roselyn Borja Reg'l. Director Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). Also in the program were PSSupt. Office of the Vice Mayor 31 January 2017 FAMILIARAN, OTHERS IN ALTER TRADE COMPANY & NEW OFFICE LAUNCH Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran took part in the launching of the company Alter Trade Philippines Inc. and blessing and inauguration of its new office at Regent Pearl Center, Carmenville Subd., corner Aljis Road, yesterday Jnaury 30, 2017. Vice Mayor Familairan joined Alter Trade Philippines Inc. key people led by its President Gilda Caduya, Arnel Ligahon, Alter Trade Manufacturing Corp. President, Norma Mugar member of the Executive Board in the said event. Also gracing the occasion were Rachel Nufable and Mae Buara of the Department of Trade and Industry in Bacolod. Alter Trade Philippines Inc. Is known for its “alternative trading and espousing and practicing people to people and fair trade trading.” Familiaran on the other hand, in his message emphasized “the birth of a new business means an additional opportunity for the growing rate of employment in Bacolod.” Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran with the newly-inducted Federation of Senior Citizens of Bacolod, Inc. (FSCABI) officers whom Vice Mayor Familiaran officiated today at the City Mayor’s Office, January 31, 2017. Following the road inspection led by Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran conducted last January 24 relative to the holding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in March, Vice Mayor Familiaran met with District Engineer Abraham Villareal of the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH), P/Supt. Luisito Acebuche, Chief Bacolod Traffic Authority Office, representatives from the offices of the City Mayor, City Legal, City Engineer, CENECO vis-a-vis with members of various vendors and tricycle drivers/operators associations. Discussed during the meeting was the possible clearing of unwanted and illegal structures on national roads. The Leonardia Administration is keen on showcasing the best in Bacolod being one of the cities to host two meetings in the said event.

Luisito Acebuche, Bacolod Traffic Authority Office Chief, Engr. Noel Impreso of the City Engineer's Office among others, inspecting various roads in Bacolod expectedc to be used during the ASEAN Summit in March. Bacolod will host two meetings for the said event.
Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran led the ceremonial cutting of ribbon to to open the Bridal Fair of Wedding Events Planner Organizers of Negros (WEPON) with its President Ellen Lindaya at the fountain area of Robinsons Place Bacolod.
Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran leads the distribution of livelihood financial assistance to 100 beneficiaries from the ruabn poor sector, last Friday at the City Mayor's Office, Bacolod Government Center. The financial assistance is one of the priority projects of Mayor Evelio Leonardia through the Department of Social Services and Development. Assisting Vice Mayor Familiaran are Steph Ampil and Israel Salanga, coordinators of "Bulig Ini Nga Gugma" project.
