Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran joins in full support of the program launched by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) yesterday dubbed as "Mamamayang Ayaw Sa Anomalya, Mamamayang Ayaw sa Ilegal na Droga" or MASA MASID.
It is a community-based program that aims to encourage the citizens to take a proactive stance in President Rodrigo Duterte's Government fight against corruption, illegal drugs and criminality. Familiaran also signed in the Pledge of Commitment to manifest his commitment of support to the program. Thus, he also urged the people of Bacolod as one community to support the program and be vigilant with their surroundings. In his message, Famiiaran said that any government program will never be triumphant without people's support. He added "All of us here are together in aspiring that the day shall come for this city and this nation to be free from illegal drugs, corruption and criminality." Leading the launching program were DILG Assistant Secretary for Brgy. Affairs & Community Dev't Roosque Calacat as the Resource Speaker; Engr. Carmelo Orbista OIC-DILG-Bacolod; Chief Dir. Dr. Ma. Nove Mejica - OIC-Local Government Monitoring & Evaluation Division (OIC-LGMED) and Atty. Roselyn Borja Reg'l. Director Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). Also in the program were PSSupt. Jack Wanky, Chief Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and Councilor Ricardo Tan.#
